About Me
Hi! My name is Julianne. One of the first things I do when I get up in the morning is get on the computer and the last things I do is close my laptop. I love being connected by the Internet, that's why I love Digital Marketing. I studied marketing at the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business. While going to school, I managed to acquire several internships that focus on online marketing and social media. Through those internships, I learned about many different social media platforms, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, local search, and other channels that encompass digital marketing. I still have room to grow and as other digital marketers find new ways to reach online audiences, I want to learn anything and everything I can about it.
Technicalities aside, I am a really big nerd about the internet. I check my Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr several times a day, every day. I also use location based networks, Foursquare and Gowalla (yes, I use both), to check into my favorite places around Houston. I am also really into music and going to concerts. Last.fm helps me keep track of the songs I listen to and Turntable.fm helps me connect with other music lovers. Google Reader has been a life savior when it comes to helping me keep track of all the blogs I follow. I follow many of my friends' blogs as well as fashion and music blogs. I also keep track of marketing news with Mashable, Technorati, and Search Engine Land to name a few.
When my computer is turned off, I like to take my dog to the dog park. I have a pug/french bulldog mix that I am obsessed with. I've recently gotten into healthy living so a few times a week you can find me jogging at Memorial Park or the Rice University trail. I also do yoga and pilates. I love to bum around in my apartment and just relax so there's always a movie on my Netflix queue. I also love a good concert and love attending music festivals.
